 Evelyne wanjiru came to the limelight when her story was aired by Metha ya kagoni. She was very desperate since her two kids didn't have anything to eat and the pregnancy she was carrying was a result of rape. She was drugged and raped and she was not sure if she wanted to keep the baby.

When her cry for help reached the ears of kenyans, she has received massive support. She has been able to get help from all over. She now lives in a one bedroom apartment and she has already started her own business. She is dealing with cars and selling toys and she also did an online business that will help her sell clothes.


After her story was aired, a woman called her and pleaded with her not to give her child up. Most of the people cane to support her by ensuring that her daughter was born safely and promised to take her through all her education.


She gave birth to a healthy baby and she says that she is willing to see her grow up no matter the situation. She says that she apologizes to the daughter every single day because she has never thought she would have reached that point in life. She is very grateful to God for the blessing of life and that of the daughter.


She says that she will always be indebted to kenyans for how they came through for her.
