Daylight Drama as Man Beats His Wife to Death, Accusing Her for Practicing Witchcraft

 The word witchcraft has good and bad meanings in different cultures around the world. A general definition of witchcraft is the changing of everyday events using supernatural or magical forces. 




Witchcraft usually associated with the power of nature, such as medicinal and poisonous plants, or rains and floods.

People accused of witchcraft are said to be able to control natural events such as storms or droughts.

Though both men and women can be accused of witchcraft, the vast majority are women. 

Police in Tanzania have arrested a man accused of battering his wife and her to death and dumping her body down a village well because they suspected she was a witch.


According to the suspect, the wife had been practicing black magic and had cast a spell on their family, which caused a 12-year-old girl to fall ill and die in December last year.


The eye-witness in their statements to media said the suspect beat her wife thoroughly before slitting her throat to death.


While confirming the incident, the police commander said the suspect has been arrested and taken into police custody, where he awaits to be arraigned in court once the investigation is completed.
